Welcome to Mrs.Pauline's Honors English 10 classroom. I am looking forward to an exciting year with each of you. To prepare for the upcoming school year, I have posted the assignments that must be completed before the start of the school year. Also, each of you have received a paper copy of the assignments. If you ever have a question, this wikispace will be the way we will communicate throughout the summer. Please post your question about summer work at the bottom of this page so others can see the question and answer so there are no repeats. Please DO NOT procrastinate on completing these assignments. I will be evaluating each assignment thoroughly, and I will grade each part of each assignment.
There are 4 parts to the summer work. All 3 must be completed within the time frame posted during the summer. The last assignment will be a test given on the second day of school. Finished work must be delivered to Laurel High School's main office by the due date. Also, I will caution all of you to make sure you are following all of the guidelinesfor each assignment. They are specific and must be followed.
Assignment 1: Non-Fiction Reading: New York Times
Assignment 2: Read Tuesdays With Morrie and complete Aphorism Project and Letter to an Influential Teacher
Assignment 3: West Side Story (Movie)
Assignment 4: Test
Test will cover Tuesdays with Morrie.
Enjoy your summer! I look forward to seeing your work and having you in class come August! --Mrs. Pauline
